China Glaze 'Meet Me in the Mirage' Stamping

Hello!

Today's post is a bit delayed. I've been crazy busy this week and finally managed to do my nails Friday evening.
                                Daylight
I planned these nails earlier in the week so I knew what I wanted to do at least!
Planned at least!
These nails were a test run for my holiday coming up in a few weeks, I'm going pink or blue so hopefully I'll post the blue alternatives up next week. I'm also all about those rose gold accessories so I tried to incorporate that too with my latest purchase on my quest for the perfect rose gold polish.
I used China Glaze 'Meet me in the Mirage' from their Desert Escape Summer 2015 collection. The whole collection is lovely but I was good and got three out of six. I think this Rose Gold is my favourite on my quest so far. It was two easy coats; though you could probably get away with one, and dried quickly. It's a bit more rosey than my Orly 'Rage' and I think it's more of a true rose gold.

For my pinkie and pointer I used Models Own 'Sun hat' which is a really bright neon pink from their Polish for Tans collection. This was two coats.

For the stamping I used sugar bubbles 016 plate with Virtuous Polish 'Miriam' as a stamping polish. Virtuous polish make lovely matte polishes that are awesome as stamping polishes. Unfortunately they recently closed the business which may or may not come back. You can still get them from some distributors but you'll have to be quick! I used my creative shop stamper to stamp with.
Floral accompaniment
I topped it off with HK Girl Glisten and Glow top coat.
Rainbow Connection 'Zap'
I used 'Zap' from Rainbow Connection UK for easy clean up. It's a latex based liquid that you put around or on your nails for easy clean up or nail art. It dries to a rubbery consistency and once your done making a mess you just grab one end with your tweezers and it comes right off leaving a much smaller mess to clean up! I've put a video up on my Instagram if you'd like to see it in action! It's so easy to use and saves so much time and acetone!

I hope you like these as much as I do. Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Cirque Colors C.R.E.A.M

Hello!

Today I've got Cirque Colors 'C.R.E.A.M' from their recent Vice collection to show you. The Vice collection was a beautiful Limited Edition collection of bright neon summer shades. 'C.R.E.A.M' is a bright neon pastel green. The formula was lovely as always and it was opaque in just two coats, no undies required! I find it very hard to have a whole Mani of just one polish so I used Starrily 'Ultima' as an accent nail which is a beautiful holographic silver micro-glitter. SPARKLY!

I really love green polishes. I think green polish is one of those colours that people either love or hate. I'll try and put up a post about my green polish collection soon!

I really love bright polishes but I must admit I'm beginning to look forward to the A/W shades that are starting to appear on the nail polish blogosphere.

What do you think of green polishes? Any favourites?

Are you looking forward to the A/W shades?

Let me know in the comments!

Picture Polish Bohemian

Hello!

Just a short one today. This is the beautiful Picture Polish 'Bohemian' with an accent nail of Renaissance Cosmetics 'Blushing'.

Picture Polish Bohemian is a beautiful Rose, Gold, Copper multi-chrome with Picture Polish's signature scatter holo running through it. The accent nail is the beautiful microglitter 'blushing' by Renaissance cosmetics. It's also a Rose, Gold, Copper mix. Perfect partners! Both polishes were opaque in 3 coats, have lovely formulas and were super easy to apply.

I love the colour change.

What do you think of multi-chromes?

The Walking Dead Nails

Hello!

Today I've got some 'The Walking Dead' nails that I did for the Season 5 finale to show you. There's a lot of techniques here so I'll jump right in.

First of all I used 2 coats of OPI 'My Boyfriend Scales Walls' for my base. I love this polish for nail art. It's a beautiful white with a hint of grey.

I then used dry brushing for my pointer and ring finger. I used a mix of grey, red and brown polish to create the distressed effect. I used OPI 'My vampire is buff', Models Own Hypergel 'Red Lustre', 'Brunette Red' and 'Raven Red' and Picture Polish 'Malteser'.

For my middle finger and pinkie I used just red dry brushing using 'Red Lustre' so that the stamping would stand out and so I wouldn't need too many layers for the blood droplets.

For my pinkie I used a nail art brush to paint on the blood droplets using a mixture of Red Lustre and Raven Red.

I then stamped over the top.

I used Sugar bubbles nail stamping plates 001 for the barbed wire and skulls and 010 for the 'The Walking Dead' and stitches stamp.  Sugar Bubbles do a really amazing selection of plates. I used Konad black stamping polish and my creative shop stamper. Topped off with HK Girl top coat.

I love this Stamping Design, It came out so well
This design really didn't take too long to do considering the amount of techniques. Everything dried fairly fast so that helped.

I love that the nail community uses popular culture to inspire their designs and creations. Especially stamping plates as it then influences my nail art.

Are there any themed nails you've tried or would like to? Let me know in the comments.

Lacquer Lust 'Cottontail' & 'Spring in your step'

Hello!

Welcome to my first blog post! Today I've got some beautiful Lacquer Lust nails to show you.

I've been drooling over these polishes for ages and finally made them mine this week. If you haven't heard of the Lacquer Lust brand it's an Indie polish from California. They're well known for they're unicorn polishes and more recently for their beautiful one coat creams.

This is one coat of spring in your step over three coats of lacquer lust cottontail. For my accent nail I used different coloured striping tape to compliment the glitter shades. All topped off with HK Girl top coat.

The cottontail polish has a beautiful shimmer to it. It dries matte but the top coat really shows off the shimmer. The glitter pay off from spring in your step is also really good.
