Femme Fatale Cosmetics 'Poisoned Apple' & 'Art of Witchcraft' Swatch & Review

Hello!

Today I have two beautiful Femme Fatale Cosmetics polishes to show you. Both are from the Snow White Collection which will be having it's last sale on the Femme Fatale Cosmetics website tomorrow! I think the Snow White collection really started my love affair with Femme Fatale Cosmetics and both these polishes are stunners!

'Poisoned Apple' is a beautiful teal with a fine smattering of silver microglitter and a beautiful pink to gold shimmer. This was three coats. Super unique and just jaw-droppingly pretty! I especially love the shifty shimmer in this one.

'Art of Witchcraft' is another gorgeous teal with a jelly base with holographic silver, red, purple and blue glitter. This was just two coats and it dries super fast. Love love love! And so sparkly.

Don't they go perfectly together! I topped it all off with HK Girl Top Coat.

I think these are some of my favourite swatches I've done to date. Really loved these nails and my nail length and shape this week.

I brought these polishes from Rainbow Connection UK and I think some are still available now. If you don't have them yet, I promise they don't disappoint so grab them while you can!

The Femme Fatale Cosmetics Pre-sale is tomorrow and will be featuring the Snow White collections last sale and the new one time only Enchanted Fables Collection plus the new COTM! I know where I'll be at 10 pm tomorrow! What have you got your heart set on from the new release? Let me know in the comments!

Nail Mail Monday & Fab Ur Nails Clean Up Brush Review

Hello!

I've got another haul of Nail Mail to show you today. Enjoy!

My first haul was from my frequented polish sanctuary Rainbow Connection UK.

From Left to Right is Colors by Llarowe 'Helen', 'Pink Lady Stamping Polish' and 'On the Wings of Eagles' and Pretty Serious 'All that Remains' and 'Princess Plutonium'.

The Colors by Llarowe polishes 'Helen' and 'On the Wings of Eagles' are part of the Spring 2016 collection dedicated to Helen who is battling Cancer. Although I don't know Helen personally we are both Rainbow Connection UK frequenters and often interact on Facebook etc... She is always so positive and I was so pleased when Colors by Llarowe announced this collection dedicated to her and her wonderful spirit and love of all things PINK! A portion of the money for these polishes is going to Helen's charity. I've put the lovely words from Leah Ann LaRowe below and the link to Helen's charity. I love it when indie polish makers work with charities.

'There are times in life that we find a person who inspires us.  even though i have never met helen as she lives an ocean away, she is my hero.  i always thought life was just a means to an end and that life was a painful journey with rich rewards at the end.  i was wrong.  helen has shown me that i need to treasure each and every moment here on earth and to live as if tomorrow will never come.  helen finds joy in the smallest moments and even in adversity.  she is and has been battling an illness with grace, dignity and a zest for life i have not seen before.  she reminds me that there are challenges in life that show us what is really important and how to meet those challenges head on and never give up.  my outlook on life has changed dramatically just from knowing this wonderful lady who is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.  thank god for you helen, it is an honor to be called your friend.  this collection was inspired by your spirit, your heart and your wonderful soul.'
I also got the new Fab Ur Nails Clean Up brush with my RC Order this week.

I tried it out on my last mani and it is excellent. The brush is angled which is really good for working around your nail and the bristles aren't too rigid or too soft so the pressure from the bristles is just right to take off the polish that has gone outside the nail and leaving the nail polish on the nail in place. I've had various clean up brushes this year but none have been great and I kept finding myself going back to an old nail art brush that was very small and less than ideal. This brush is a good size and hopefully it will last well. I'll give you an update in about a month to see how it's fairing with the acetone! So far so good!
I also had my Hypnotic Polish order arrive this week. They're based in the Netherlands and the shipping was super fast. I just got the standard option to the UK which was a good price!

I just had to take a picture of this beautiful packaging!

All these polishes are Hypnotic Store Exclusives. From Left to Right (in the swatch stick picture; cannot believe I muddled them up between pictures, there's only 3!) is Femme Fatale Cosmetics 'Ambrosial', 'Emily de Molly 'Chiffon' and 'Femme Fatale Cosmetics 'Paramour'.
More pretties for my collection. Anything you like the look of for a full mani in the next few weeks? Let me know!

Femme Fatale Cosmetics 'Morning Glory' and Cirque Colors 'Cerrillos'

Hello and Happy Easter!

My manis are steadily moving into Spring colours now and today I have a very bright set of nails to show you.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics 'Morning Glory' was a COTM for January 2016. I think it's still available from some stockists but you'll have to be quick! It's a beautiful pastel pistachio green with turquoise shimmer in the famous Femme Fatale duo finish. I love the silky effect these polishes have. This was three easy coats though most people could get away with two. I'm not going to lie, I nearly didn't get this as I didn't think it would suit me but I knew I'd get that 'not buying nail polish' regret. (That's a thing right?!) and I'm very glad I have it as it ended up looking very pretty, the shimmer is beautiful.

I paired it with Cirque Colors 'Cerrillos' which is a gorgeous rainbowy turquoise holo. This was just two coats. The formula of all Cirque polishes are always so perfect! Super creamy and easy to control. I picked this as it went well with the turquoise shimmer from 'Morning Glory'.

For the stamping I used Hehe Stamping plate Fairytale 001. I stamped with Cirque Colors 'Cerrillos' as the formula is so opaque I didn't have any trouble using it for stamping. I used my Fab Ur Nails Clear Jelly Stamper for stamping as I needed to control the placement of the image. I've wanted to use this image for ages and now I have the Clear stamper to help with getting it straight I was able to. I'm still getting used to this technique of looking down the stamper onto the nail. Sometimes I forget and use it like a normal stamper and hence why some of the designs look a bit wonky! Very much user error! It picked up very well and I was still happy with how these turned out. All topped off with HK Girl top coat.

What do you think of the colour combo? Are you getting into the swing of the spring palette yet?

I got the inspiration for these from one of my favourite dresses.

The blue is Emily de Molly 'Summer Skies' which is a beautiful cornflower blue creme with blue shimmer. It's a Rainbow Connection UK store exclusive. This was three easy coats. I thought it matched the dress perfectly.

I paired 'Summer Skies' with Femme Fatale Cosmetics 'Ouija'. This is a gorgeous charcoal grey with silver holo hex glitter and microglitter. 'Ouija' is a Color4Nails store exclusive and one of my favourite Femme Fatales as I love charcoal grey and the opacity makes this so easy to apply. This was just two easy coats.

For my stamping I used one of my favourite stamping designs ever from Emily de Molly EDM10. I really love roses and this design is so pretty with the added butterflies. I stamped using Color Alike 'Twilight' Stamping polish and my Fab Ur Nails Jumbo Stamper. All worked beautifully. I'm really happy with my stamping tools I have at the moment. All topped off with HK Girl Top Coat.

I really enjoyed picking a piece of clothing to inspire my design.

What do you think?

Nail Mail Monday featuring my Femme Fatale Cosmetics Haul including The Afterlight Gala Collection

Hello!

I have such a host of beautiful goodies to show you today!

This week I received a small nail mail from Color4nails.

From left to right is Femme Fatale Cosmetics 'Her Imperial Majesty' and I also brought two back up bottles 'Hundred Years Winter' and 'Enchanted Desire'. Aren't they all gorgeous!

My highly anticipated haul from Femme Fatale Cosmetics also arrived this week. Including the new Afterlight Gala Collection along with some Emily de Molly's AND I branched out into some Femme Fatale Cosmetics Eye shadows. Yes Sophie also creates Eye Shadows as well as polish and they are just as stunning. It was like Christmas come early!!!!

From Left to Right is Emily de Molly 'Future Royal?', 'Major Themes', 'Crown of Dahlias' (A Femme Fatale Cosmetics Store Exclusive), 'Circlet of Ice' (Another Femme Fatale Cosmetics Store Exclusive, this also has a gorgeous pink/red glow that I didn't capture here), 'Empty Journals', 'Showdown' and my third back up bottle of 'I'm B-lind' (because two bottles was not enough!)

From Left to Right is Femme Fatale Cosmetics 'Lace Masquerade (Thermal)' , 'Whispers of Velvet (Thermal)', 'Sunrise Funfair', 'Maze of Mirrors', 'Fields of' Treasure', 'Crown of Ribbons', 'Lantern Lights', 'Dripped in Diamonds', 'A Fortune Teller's Charm (Thermal)', Glass Carousel' and the COTM 'Stargazing on Saturn'.

This collection is B-E-A-UTIFUL! I'm pretty sure now the Sophie practises Magic! I can't wait to start wearing these and show off some proper swatches!! Currently wearing 'Whispers of Velvet' so that's up first! These are stunning.

I've perused the Femme Fatale Eye shadows for a while now and finally took the plunge this month. They are gorgeous!

I invested in the Femme Fatale Eye Shadow primer 'Shadow Magic'. It's a white/clear soft waxy consistency and goes on seamlessly. I've had really good wear with it so far. Well worth a purchase if you're thinking of getting some of the beautiful Eye shadows as they are loose powder.
Femme Fatale Cosmetics stocks many indie brand Eye shadows and I brought a couple of the Shiro Cosmetics shades in 'Doge' (How ridiculously cute is the picture!!) I love Doges! and 'I tried'.
'Doge' is a champagne peach shimmer and 'I tried' is a gorgeous rose gold shimmer. I wore 'Doge' the other day and it's beautiful and paired with the primer it lasted all day.

These photos are from the Femme Fatale Website, The swatches are much better than I could do!!
Femme Fatale Cosmetics also have their own brand of Eye shadow. I brought the mini versions and they come with a sifter.

These photos are from the Femme Fatale Website and are macros of the above shadows

From Top to Bottom, Left to Right is Femme Fatale Cosmetics 'Ruins of Stardust', 'Divinity', Bone Dust', 'Royal Tarts', 'COTM Searching for Gaea' and 'Seven Lost Lords'.

So Far I've tried  'Ruins of Stardust', 'COTM Searching for Gaea' and 'Seven Lost Lords' and they were all wonderful. Really easy to apply and soooooo pretty and the shimmer is gorgeous and really makes them stand out from my drugstore pallets!

Phew! Isn't it all just amazing! I'm becoming quite the Femme Fatale Cosmetics Fan Girl!

Femme Fatale Cosmetics next pre-sale is for their Enchanted Fables Collection of 23 gorgeous polishes! Next months Nail Mail here I come!

Anything you'd like to see a full mani of? Let me know in the comments!
