Colors by Llarowe 'Helen' 'The Secret Life of Pets' Nails with Bundle Monster Stamping

Hello!

Sorry I've been absent this week. Life is very hectic at the moment and while uni is out for the summer I'm working 5 days a week so my usual Monday blog prep time isn't happening! Boo!

A couple of weeks ago I went to go and see the film 'The Secret Life of Pets'. As the owner of one very spoilt dog (who often gives her an inner monologue of my own creation) I thought I'd do some themed nails for the occasion.

My base is Colors by Llarowe 'Helen' from the Spring 2016 Collection. It's a beautiful turquoise sky blue with pink to gold shimmer. This was just two easy coats and the formula was excellent.

For the stamping I used Bundle Monster stamping plates BMS159 & BMS160 from the Fuzzy & Ferocious set.

I used my Fab Ur Nails Jumbo stamper and my Black Konad Stamping Polish. I topped it all off with HK Girl Top Coat which unfortunately smudged the design a little bit but nothing too drastic!

I really love these designs and will definitely do some more dog themed nails in the future!

This is my dog Pixie, she obviously approves of these nails but would rather I was playing ball with her than painting them!

All these products except the Konad stamping polish are available at the wonderful Rainbow Connection UK!

Femme Fatale Cosmetics 'Loves Wound' Unfaded, Faded & Reformulated Comparison

Hello!

Today I've got a quick comparison post about the Femme Fatale Cosmetics 'Love's Wound' polish from the Midsummer Nights Dream Collection.

I did a Swatch & Review post of this a while back. The pigment used has been found to fade after a while so Sophie has issued refunds and also created a reformulated version. Her customer service is always outstanding! The Faded version is a bright neon pink which frankly I LOVE! It's been in high demand and was included in the recent July Oops Shades sale for purchase so thought it was a good time to do a quick compare and contrast. It's been renamed as 'Heart's Wound'. Some recent swatches of 'Heart's Wound' seem to be leaning towards Coral which my faded version doesn't so I may try and pick it up from a stockist anyway. If I do I'll do another comparison then.

On the Left is the Bottle of the Faded Version and on the Right is the Reformulated Version

From Left to Right is Love's Wound Unfaded, Faded & Reformulated

I love them all but am glad I managed to use the original before it faded to the pink which I'll try out in a full mani soon! Hopefully I'll have the 'Heart's Wound' Oops Shade soon as well.

Lacquester 'Tan Pal' Swatch & Review & Nail Mail

Hello!

Today I have a new to me brand all the way from The Netherlands.

Lacquester are an Indie brand run by the lovely Caroline.I saw a picture on Instagram of 'Tan Pal' and instantly knew I needed it! As has become the norm I couldn't get just one polish! The bottle shot for 'Katy did Pink' & 'The Pink Cadillacquester' are colour accurate, my camera hated those on the swatch sticks.

From Left to Right is Lacquester 'Barbie's Revenge', 'Don't be Shy', 'Greyvid Copperfield', 'Katy did Pink', 'The Pink Cadillacquester', 'Rosington', 'Tan Pal' & 'Taupe-o-graphic'

'Tan Pal' is a gorgeous neon peach with a beautiful golden orange shimmer. I love this colour. This was three coats and a top coat of HK Girl. It took a little longer to dry than most of my polishes so I'd suggest thinner coats and make sure they are dry between coats as well. I rushed my mani a little and the polish ended up dragging a little bit. Very much user error though and the top coat hides many sins!

These are fab polishes for the summer and I'm looking forward to trying some of the others out.

Nail Mail Monday - Femme Fatale Cosmetics July Samples, COTM & Oops Shades

Hello!

Today I have my monthly Femme Fatale Cosmetics Nail Mail to show you.

This month we had some Oops Shades to choose from and a very exciting Sample Sale!

An Oops Shade is a polish made either in error or during experimentation that doesn't make the final cut. All of Sophie's creations are stunning so Oops doesn't seem the right word but they are beautiful accidents! The Sample Sale is like a prototype sale and each polish is unique with only one made! (Very special!)

I managed to grab 4 Oops Shades & 2 Samples along with the COTM for July!

From Left to Right is Femme Fatale Cosmetics Oops Shades 'Burnished Ossein', 'My Jabber-Baby-Wocky?!' & 'Renounced Crown', COTM 'Paragon (a purple to clear thermal), the very limited Oops Shade 'Empyrean Decay' & my two beautiful samples 'No.70 Pull Some Strings' & 'No.44 Tower of Soup'

I love these and I was very lucky to get my two samples & 'Empyrean Decay'! 'Pull Some Strings' is a gorgeous pinky plum with insane copper glitters & shimmer! So very much my thing (though what kind of polish isn't my thing!) & 'Tower of Soup' is a gorgeous firey rusty orange with golden shimmer in my favorite finish (this swatch picture doesn't do it justice). 'Empyrean Decay' was very limited and sold as part of the sample sale. It's a beautiful olive green with a pink duochrome flash. I really love it!

The Sample Sales are so fun (minus the stress and adrenaline rush ninja fingers you need)! I love chatting with people before hand and seeing all of the amazing prototypes. I know myself and many others wish Sophie could just release all of them but thankfully for my bank balance we have sample sales instead with a purchasing limit!

What do you think? A little bird mentioned to me that some Oops Shades will be coming to stockists like the wonderful Rainbow Connection UK & Color4Nails along with the July COTM so look out for them if you missed out. I have another post coming this week about another of the Oops Shades available as well.

Thanks for visiting,

Have a lovely day,

Emily de Molly 'LE 32' Swatch & Review

Hello!

Today I've got the stunning Emily de Molly 'LE 32' to show you. I LOVE this polish so I make no apologies for this picture spam! All of the pictures are in natural daylight.

'LE32' is a stunning orange to burgundy thermal polish. This was two coats and HK Girl top coat.

Warm State - Bright Orange / Rusty Orange

Transition (of which there are many)

Cold State - Red to Burgundy to Plum

Well done for making it through all those! I hope you can see why I love this polish so much. The range of colours and hues is ridiculous and that burgundy with the orange shimmer glow is literally my polish dreams realised. I pray to the polish gods / Hayley that sometime in the future that burgundy may become a polish of it's own. Stunning! Because this was LE it's not available anymore but it was too beautiful to hide!

Thanks for visiting,

Have a lovely day,
