Nail Mail Monday

Hello!

I've got lots of gorgeous polishes to show you today.

I've had two lots of Nail Mail from Rainbow Connection UK this week.

First up is this very summery selection including my picks from the new Cirque Colors Vice Collection 2016.

From Left to Right is Colors by Llarowe 'Everyday is Special' (RC Store Exclusive, it has a gorgeous pink shimmer that I couldn't pick up here) 'Hillbilly Harlot' & Cirque Colors 'Electric Daisy', 'Plastik' & ' Sin City'

I also picked up the new smaller Fab Ur Nails Brush after the success of my larger one. Can't wait to start using this for the smaller detail clean ups! Also how amazing is the new Rainbow Connection UK business card!

My second parcel contained some much sought after polishes. Rainbow Connection UK also have a monthly Indie polish box called Paint the Rainbow UK which has some amazing polishes and makers each month. Because my collection is so huge I always find I have polishes already similar to some of them and so can't justify buying the box for one polish etc... This week Annette split up the left over boxes from this year and sold the extra polishes for charity! I was super excited and managed to nab these three I'd been super sad to not get my hands on.

From Left to Right is Colors by Llarowe 'Cherry Blossoms', Emily de Molly 'Goodie two shoes?' & Femme Fatale Cosmetics 'Pierrot'

I also had a big surprise this weekend when my ILNP order arrived! I was brought an ILNP voucher for Christmas and finally got to use it for my picks from the ILNP Summer 2016 collection plus some other ILNP I'd been after for a while.

I adore the ILNP packaging so thought I'd include some pictures!

From Left to Right is ILNP 'Lilac Bridges', 'Private Cabana', 'Pucker Up', 'That Other Girl', 'The Boulevard', 'Cameo', 'Champagne Blush', 'Flower Girl', 'Hush' & 'Showtime'.

I can't wait to use these. Have you got any favourites? All of these polishes are available from Rainbow Connection UK. I normally get my ILNP from Rainbow Connection UK but didn't this time around because I had my voucher to spend!

Thanks for visiting,

Have a lovely day,

Helen xx

Nail Mail Monday

Hello!

Happy 4th July to my readers from the USA!

Sorry I've been a bit quiet. I've had so much going on I haven't had time to sort out all my nail pics yet!

I have got some nail mail to show you today though.

This week I received my order from Emily de Molly. The brand run by the lovely Hayley turned 4 at the end of May and Hayley released a trio of polishes to celebrate. I also added some others into my order. Rude not to!

From Left to Right is Emily de Molly 'Brick by Brick', 'Dark Citation', 'Pending Perfection' (these are the anniversary trio) I also added 'LE31', 'Meet My Fate', 'Poser', 'Savvy Trinket', 'Smiling Fortune' & 'Vivid Dreams'

I also got some Emily de Molly stamping supplies. I was really impressed with the Rose Gold & Taupe stamping polish I brought previously so am excited to try the Grey & White versions! I also brought Emily de Molly's new XL Stamping Plate. You may know that the Rose design on the bottom right is my favourite stamping image ever so jumped at getting a larger version as my nails are normally quite long. I can't wait to try this plate when my nails are a bit longer as the images are HUGE! This is 1 of the 5 available in XL and I'm sure there will be more on the way!

I also received my Rainbow Connection UK polishes with some super speedy shipping so I was able to fit it in with this weeks post. I brought the two new Femme Fatale Cosmetics RC store exclusives and an Emily de Molly I'd been after for a while to get that £1 shipping rate! (If you spend over £20 you get £1 shipping). Annette knows how to make us nailies spend!

From Left to Right is Femme Fatale Cosmetics RC store exclusives 'Cerulean Views (Thermal)' & 'Tidal Stars' & Emily de Molly 'Chasing Rainbows'

Aren't they all beautiful. Let me know your favourites! I've had the same mani on all week and am itching to sit and paint them so that's tomorrow evening sorted!

Thanks for visiting,

Have a lovely day,

Helen xx

Colors by Llarowe 'Lotus' & Cirque Colors 'Halcyon' Nail Art

Hello!

No Nail Mail this week but I do have some Nail Art to show you. Lots of pictures ahead as I just couldn't help taking a million photos of this mani! For these I used Colors by Llarowe 'Lotus' and Cirque Colors 'Halcyon'.

'Lotus' is a gorgeous Orchid pink with gold and pink shimmer from the Colors by Llarowe Summer 2016 collection. The mixture of the pink and gold makes the shimmer lean towards rose gold which I love. This was three easy coats.

Because of the rose gold leaning shimmer I paired it with Cirque Colors 'Halcyon' from their Holiday 2015 collection as this is my favourite rose gold polish. It's just stunning! This was just two coats on my accent nail.

I wanted to tie the whole mani together so decided I'd use some nail vinyls for some nail art. I added a coat of HK Girl Top Coat on top of 'Lotus' first so that the nail vinyls didn't rip up the polish underneath during removal. I wanted to accent 'Lotus' with 'Halcyon' so I used some thin straight nail vinyls to create a cross at the bottom of the nail and painted over the bottom and side triangles it created with 'Halcyon'.

I've always struggled with nail vinyls but previously I hadn't been doing a layer of top coat first. It made SUCH a big difference and I love how these turned out. I also used the latex barrier 'Zap' from Rainbow Connection UK to stop the 'Halcyon' going everywhere when dabbing it over the nail vinyl pattern. I love 'Halcyon' but it's a nightmare for clean up due to the shimmer and silver flakies. (This isn't an issue when removing everything though, just when your cleaning your cuticles etc...). After removing the vinyls (before 'Halcyon' dried) and letting it dry I topped it all off with another layer of HK Girl top coat.

I really loved these polishes together and this design. I think I'm confident with stamping now so maybe mastering Nail Vinyls will be my next challenge. I brought these nail vinyls a while ago but I think they are the Skinny Straights Vinyls by 'Nail Vinyls' and I believe I purchased them from Picture Polish, they have their own website though.

What do you think? Are there any nail techniques you're working on at the moment?

The formula was amazing and I only needed two easy coats. I love opaque polishes! I topped it all off with HK Girl top coat.

I was a bit worried about removal with such a huge amount of microglitter but it removed perfectly. I love this polish and in the sun I couldn't stop staring at my nails! What do you think?
